Denise Genuit Joins Camp Opportunity Board, Bringing Expertise in HR, Compliance and Financial Oversight

Glen Arm, Md – Camp Opportunity, Inc., a child welfare organization, is pleased to announce the appointment of Denise Genuit to its board of directors. With a diverse background and a wealth of professional experience, Genuit brings invaluable expertise in human resources, compliance, and financial oversight to the organization. 

Genuit’s impressive career spans over two decades, during which she served as an Administrator for the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Maryland. Her extensive experience in managing complex operations and fostering effective teamwork has provided her with a strong foundation in HR management. Genuit brings comprehensive knowledge of talent acquisition, employee development, and cultivating a positive work environment to the board. 

In her current role as the Chief Administrative Officer at Longeviti Neuro Solutions, Genuit brings a strategic and results-oriented approach to Camp Opportunity’s leadership. Her expertise in managing corporate goals and fostering growth will undoubtedly prove to be a valuable asset to the organization.

Genuit resides part-time in Florida, and part-time in Maryland, and loves snowboarding and traveling. She is happily married to Dr. Thomas Genuit, and together they have raised three children: Kirby, Jesse, and Drew and is a loving grandparent to Hayden, Harper, and Hunter.

Camp Opportunity Welcomes New Executive Director

Trish joined Camp Opportunity in April of 2023. With over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role. 

Prior to joining Camp Opportunity, Trish served as Assistant Director of Communications and Marketing at Maryland CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Association, where she was responsible for overseeing strategic communication and fundraising campaigns to increase awareness, engage stakeholders, and generate revenue for the organization. Throughout Trish’s professional career, she has served in leadership roles at other nonprofit organizations with similar missions focused on child welfare. 

Trish is a passionate advocate for developing and implementing innovative programs that address the root causes of poverty, inequality, abuse, and neglect, and empower individuals and communities to create lasting change. 

As Executive Director of Camp Opportunity, Trish is responsible for leading the organization’s efforts to provide support and services to children and youth in Maryland who have suffered abuse and neglect. Trish oversees all aspects of the organization’s operations, including fundraising, program development, and staff management. Trish is excited to bring her experience and expertise to Camp Opportunity and looks forward to working with the team to achieve their shared mission of ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive. 

Trish holds a bachelor of science degree in Education from Towson University. She lives in Perry Hall, Maryland with her husband, Derek and they share three children, Emily, Aidan, and Lela.
