Job Title: Part-Time Outreach Administrator
Position Overview:
Camp Opportunity seeks a highly organized and dedicated individual to join our team as a Part-Time Outreach Administrator. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our organization’s outreach efforts to promote child welfare, raise awareness, and engage the community in our mission. This person will also ensure the smooth operation of our office and provide essential administrative support to our staff. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and commitment to our mission of improving the lives of children who have been abused and neglected will contribute to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and implement outreach strategies and campaigns to increase awareness of our child welfare programs and services;
- Assist in creating engaging and informative content for various outreach materials, including brochures, flyers, newsletters, social media posts, and website updates;
- Draft and proofread various documents, including letters, reports, newsletters, and presentations. Maintain the organization’s website and social media platforms to ensure accurate and engaging content.
- Conduct research to identify potential partnership opportunities with local community organizations, schools, businesses, and other relevant stakeholders to expand our outreach efforts.
- Coordinate and participate in community events, workshops, and presentations to educate the public about child welfare issues, our organization’s mission, and available resources.
- Research, identify, and evaluate potential grant opportunities that align with the organization’s mission and programs.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to write compelling grant proposals, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with the grant guidelines and requirements.
- Maintain a comprehensive grants calendar, tracking deadlines, submission requirements, and reporting obligations.
- Assist in volunteer recruitment and coordination, including organizing orientation sessions and providing ongoing support and guidance to volunteers involved in outreach activities.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the organization’s staff, including managing correspondence, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records and databases.
- Assist in planning and coordinating events, such as fundraisers, community outreach programs, and Board meetings.
- Stay up to date with current trends and best practices in child welfare, outreach, and nonprofit administration to enhance the effectiveness of our outreach initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A genuine passion for child welfare and making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred).
- Previous experience in outreach, community engagement, marketing, or related roles is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for different platforms and audiences.
- Proficiency in social media platforms, content management systems, Google G-Suite, AirTable, Canva, WordPress, and Donor Management systems.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of child welfare policies, regulations, and community resources is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required for community events and outreach activities.

Compensation: $25/hour
