Who are we?
Camp Opportunity of Maryland provides an overnight summer camp experience for Maryland children ages 8-11 who have experienced abuse and neglect. The one-to-one camper-to-counselor ratio and year-round programming are what make the Camp Opportunity experience so powerful.
REAL CAMP LIFE
The activities and classes at camp are designed to build self-esteem, teach problem solving skills, foster relationships with positive adult role models and improve the children’s ability to handle stress
1-to-1 RATIO
Our 1-to-1 camper to counselor ratio is a core part of what makes Camp Opportunity so special. Each child receives their very own camp counselor for the week, leading to supportive, transformative relationships that can last long after camp is over.
cabin comfort
The grounds contain modern cabins with attached bathrooms, a dining hall, a swimming pool, basketball and volleyball courts, a fishing pond, hiking trails, a playground and an archery range.
