Who are we?
Camp Opportunity of Maryland provides an overnight summer camp experience for Maryland children ages 8-11 who have experienced abuse and neglect. Our one-to-one camper-to-counselor ratio and year-round programming is what makes the Camp Opportunity experience so powerful.
REAL CAMP LIFE
The activities and classes at camp are designed to build self-esteem, teach problem solving skills, foster relationships with positive adult role models and improve the children’s ability to handle stress.
1-to-1 RATIO
Our 1-to-1 camper-to-counselor ratio is a core part of what makes Camp Opportunity so unique.
Every child has the consistent support of a dedicated counselor by their side, ensuring they feel seen, valued, and safe throughout camp.

The grounds contain modern cabins with attached bathrooms, a dining hall, a swimming pool, basketball and gaga courts, an arts barn, and hiking trails.
