Personalized Support with a 1:1 Camper-to-Counselor Ratio
To ensure that every child receives the attention and care they deserve, we maintain a 1:1 camper-to-counselor ratio. This individualized support not only fosters deep connections between campers and counselors but also allows for personalized guidance and encouragement throughout their camp experience.
Financial Accessibility for Every Child
One of the pillars of our commitment is that no child or family pays for camp. Your support helps us cover the costs of providing a comprehensive summer camp experience, including meals, activities, and lodging. It costs over $2,000 to send a child to camp, and your contribution makes it possible for us to welcome more children into our Camp Opportunity family.
Building Lifelong Connections
The impact of Camp Opportunity extends beyond the summer months. Many of our campers return as volunteers, paying forward the support they received. Children attend camp for three consecutive years, fostering long-lasting friendships and a sense of belonging that stays with them for a lifetime.

Our commitment to the well-being of our campers goes beyond the summer season. Monthly virtual cabin times provide an opportunity for campers to connect with friends and positive role models. We also host in-person graduation picnics each spring to celebrate the achievements of our graduating campers, ensuring that the Camp Opportunity community remains strong and connected.

Even during the fall and winter, we keep the spirit of Camp Opportunity alive by sending special packages filled with goodies to each camper. These packages add joy and excitement to our virtual events, creating a sense of connection and camaraderie that transcends physical distance.
